Our God is an Awesome God

I have never experienced a greater joy than when I discover something new about my God. He is so amazing and I am in constant awe of Him. When I hear of pain and suffering that others are going through I still find myself asking Why God, why do these awful things have to happen and why do some of us have to suffer so much?  Then I realize that I will never fully understand that, my human brain can't comprehend God's magnificent plan. We are only on this earth for a very short time, when you compare it to the eternity we are going to live in Heaven. We are just passing through, we were all put here for a reason, we have a specific task that we are to do for God, some of us will mature in our walk with God and figure out what that is and do it, and some of us will live for the world and ourselves and never fully use our God given gifts for him, what a shame.
I often wonder, when I see someone going through an extremely difficult time, God please dont let that ever happen to me, because I know I could never handle it! But the truth is, God will NEVER give you too much that you can't handle, you can get through it because (if you ask) God will give you the strength! He wont give you the strength to handle a specific situation until you NEED that strength. He always provides.
I often picture God as my heavenly father, and I think about my own children and how much I love them, and how I care about every little detail of their life. I care about their future, that they are happy, and i even care about every little thing they eat and do because I care about the details of their life! God is the same way he cares about all the little details of our lives! Anything that is important to us is important to Him, he is our father!!! So when we talk to God pray specific don't be general, pray for the little things we are concerned about along with the big things. As a stay at home mom, I would worry about my babies nap schedules or what to do about putting Lily in Mother's day out, etc. I know these aren't huge serious issues, so I never thought to pray about them, but God cares about these issues because they are important to me.
I am praying specific for my life and for those around me, the more specific you pray the easier it is to see how God answers your prayers!
