God has done so many cool things.
One family who dropped off some things, is a friend of a friend and they dont even know us but they wanted to make a donation because adopting is something they have always wanted to do. Not only did they bring some furniture to our house, they wrote us a check. What a blessing how God works.
Another couple who actually came to buy a bbq that we had off of craigslist, asked about all our furniture in our garage and we told them were raising money for adoption. They begin to open up to us about how they have been trying to get pregnant for over four years and that they were beginning to look into adoption. They offered to help us with our yard sale and even said they would bring more stuff over so we could sell it!
I am amazed at the people who dont even know us and have wanted to help, and I am overwhelmed by our friends who have already done so much.
One of our good friends who Jarrod was supposed to go to Haiti with this September, called to tell us he was able to find someone to sponser him and Jarrod to go to Nicaragua in December. That way we could use the money we would have spent on Haiti to go towards our adoption! And Jarrod would still be able to go on a mission trip!
There is more!
Jarrod is starting his new job on Monday at Chase Bank. We just recently found out from his new boss that Chase bank provides up to $10,000 to their employees to help pay for adoptions!
God is so faithful! I always knew He was, but to experience it like this, is amazing. I keep thinking of the story of the 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread in the bible. He really can make something out of nothing.
And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Phillipians 4:19
