Family Visits!

I haven't posted lately, because we have had such a busy few weeks. We finally got to go to my sister's in Virginia for a much needed visit. I haven't been to her house since Izabel was born which was about 7 years ago. Jarrod was able to go with me, which was a life saver on the plane ride. The kids did a really great job and even were complimented by strangers as we were getting off the plane on how well they did. But it still would have been so hard doing it on my own. Now that Jett is walking he wants to take off every chance he gets. it was very tricky getting off the planes, with the very steep stairs and both kids and our bags. At one point Jarrod had a bag and one kid on each arm!
So we made it there and had the BEST time. My sister's house is surrounded by beautiful Virginia trees, she has a big deck in her backyard and you feel like you are in the middle of the woods when you sit outside. The kids had a great time playing with their cousins and playing outside. I really enjoyed seeing their home, church and where they go to school. The visit was way to short, but we will head back out there soon.

After we got home, my Dad came into town for a Mathena business meeting. So we got to have him stay with us for a few days. The kids LOVED having him here. They had so much fun playing with him. They were fighting for his attention the whole time he was here. Here they are playing horsey. So sweet.

I love visits from family, now that we dont live by them, those times are so precious. In 2 weeks we will be taking a trip to California, we havent been back "home" since August so we are definitely ready!!!
