Enjoying our Summer

I love summertime, there is something about it that just makes me happy, it's hard to be in a bad mood when the sun is shining and the weather is warm! We have been having a really fun summer so far, staying busy doing mommy stuff and enjoying this beautiful weather. Trying to spend as much time outside and in the pool as we can. Lily and Jett love swimming in my Grandparents pool, they love the water! A little too much they both have no fear, so I am pretty busy playing lifeguard between the two of them.
We had a fun week at VBS. I taught a 2nd grade class and loved every minute of it. They dont normally have VBS for Jett and Lily's age but they did for the teachers. So they also got to do fun things in their classes.
VBS was great for me because it gave me a chance to decorate a room, prepare lessons and TEACH THEM! Just like old times... I miss teaching and am thankful for these little opportunities to enjoy it again.
Lily is getting to the age where we can really sit down and learn letters and numbers and writing. I am having a lot of fun working with her and pulling out some of my old teaching materials to work on with her!
Lily also had her first Dentist appointment yesterday. She was a champ and actually she loved it and thought it was fun. The dentist and hygienist were great with her and she hasn't stopped talking about it, she asks to brush her teeth 3 or 4 times a day!
