Jarrod and I have met with a few couples who have adopted or are going through the process, to ask advice and to hear about their experiences. Once we decided to adopt the first decision we had to make was where we were going to adopt from. (Domestic or International) We were feeling led to adopt Internationally. I know that there is a great need for domestic adoption, and I pray that more families would be willing to adopt all those sweet children. But we are one family and we have to make a decision. ALL orphans need homes everywhere! There is not one type of adoption that is more important than another. I am passionate about all of them. But for us, right now, we prayerfully made the decision to adopt from Ethiopia.
One of the main reasons we came to this decision is because I fell in love with this organization. All God's Children International. I love their ministry. This agency actually has orphanages in all the countries that they work with. They plan and organize mission trips for groups to go to these orphanages and care for the orphans, rock them, play with them etc. Something I would love to do someday when my kiddos are older.
Just to update our friends and family following along, we have turned in our application to All God's Children International for Ethiopia! We are so excited to have taken this first step. The process is starting and we are already praying for that special boy or girl that will join our family soon!

What happened to the DRC? Did the doors close on that one? That's so exciting that you turned in the application! Hopefully you'll be hearing about the next step soon!!!
Yay! Congrats!
Very exciting! I know Lindsay Morris and that's how I found your blog! I also live in Edmond and my husband and I are adopting from the DRC.
Blessings,
Kathleen
